During the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the U.H.E Foundation stepped forward with a comprehensive response to ensure the safety and well-being of one of the most vulnerable groups in society, children with special needs. Recognizing the heightened risks faced by these children, the Foundation took decisive action at the Sri Sudarshi School for the Deaf & Blind in Udukumbalwela, Ella, by donating hygiene and sanitary products to enhance the well-being of the children.

This initiative was not just about responding to an immediate crisis; it was a testament to the Foundation’s unwavering commitment to fostering a safer, healthier environment where every child is given the opportunity to thrive. By providing essential supplies such as face masks, Dettol, dustbins, and handwash, the U.H.E Foundation ensured that the students and staff at the school were equipped to navigate the complexities of the pandemic, emphasizing the critical importance of cleanliness and personal hygiene in combating the spread of the virus.
